My relationship with food changed when I was pregnant with my son. Learning how food affected my stomach as my hormones raged and how it could help or hurt my son led me to a path to change careers to become a registered dietitian.
This age of technology has given us access to more information than ever before. However, there is some really bad nutrition advice getting published every day. My practice is dedicated to evidenced-based guidelines and I use quality research to offer prudent recommendations.
I strongly believe in client and family centered care that will lead to positive changes and improvements in health and quality of life.
As your nutrition professional, I promise to:
and hopefully, ignite a passion that helps you learn more about food and how it can work WITH your body and not against it.
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is someone who is specially trained in different diseases, conditions, medications and how they influence how the body uses nutrients from food.
Someone with a RD credential has completed a nationally accredited program through a college or university and has passed the registration examination.
A RD is someone with an educational and training background that you can trust and readily verify.
